Richard the 3d was Brother to Edward the 4th he was proclaimed King on the 20th of July 1483, but delayed the Ceremony of his Coronation till the 6th of July the same year having broke his promise to the Duke of Buckingham, who had been greatly instrumental in placing him on the throne the Duke took up arms against him, in order to assist Henry Earl of Richmond who was then an exile in Bretagne
