Signora mia Sorella. Con indirible dolore dell'animo mio trasmetto a Vostra Maestà linfanstisimo aviso, pervenutomi da Vienna, dell'aierhaperdita, che vengo di fare della dilettissima Mia Consorte, e Regina, Maria Carolina Arciduchessa d'Austria rapilami da inaspettata morte nella notte de I di questo mese. Non dubito, che il tenero Cuore di Vostra Maestà, da cui ho ricevuto pruove della più costante amicizia, non sia per prendere una parte ben sncera nel mio Cordoglio che nulla potrà estringuerre pel rimamente de'miei giorni. Io prego Iddio, che voglia allontanare per lunghissimi anni ogni soggetto de amarezza dalla Maestà Vostra, ed intanto Le rinnovo i sentimenti di distinta stima, ed affectto con cui sono.
