ye. Journals of ye. Com. mention, yt. Mr. Wentworth a Cornish Member, made a Speech for ye. liberties of ye. House, in which he thew out some words against ye. Qu; ye. House deletion was greatly anger'd at this, & /deletion addition taking fine /addition committed him to ye. Custody of ye. Serjeant at Arms, till he should be examin'd concerning this Speech; then a Comee. was nam'd for yt. purpose, who reported yt. he remain'd firm to what he had said; upon which he was deletion sent /deletion addition committed /addition to ye.Tower.

Sometime after ye. Qu. Sent to ye. House for his discharge.

On ye. last day of ye. Sess. ye. Speaker in his Speech to ye. Qu. deletion recommended Her to marry. /deletion addition press'd the Her of Marriage /addition

ye. Chan. in his answer to him, deletion gave a /deletion addition spoke /addition very favourably deletion as /deletion to yt. point.

Besides ye. Acts already mention'd, other were made for reforming abuses in ye. Clergy.

ye. Parl. met again in 1581. when an Act was pass'd, yt. any one who should speak slanderously, or falsely of ye. Qu. should have both his ears cut off, or pay 200£ into ye. Exchequer; & if any one should write a book or ballad, containing any falsity against Her, or Her Successors; they should be adjudg'd guilty of treason.
