Dear Sir
You will I fear conclude that my not
addressing you sooner has proceeded from
Inattention on my part, but I can
readily assure you that has not been the
cause -- but that it has originated from
a variety of circumstances most unfavorable
to my wishes - or even thoughts -
that alone has been the cause of my
not doing myself the Honor of writing
to you, on a Subject which you are
